Early Pioneer of FAA aviation the Bristol Scout takes off at RNAS Yeovilton

Navy Wings  associate aircraft the Bristol Scout represents an important milestone in the development of early naval aviation. The proven ability of the Bristol Scout to take off from a carrier at sea showed the advantage of wheeled aircraft over floatplanes, heralding the way towards modern aircraft design we see today. Navy Wings associate The Bristol Scout attended the Navy Wings Supporters Day   at RNAS Yeovilton and used Yeovilton’s airfield to complete the check flight for her permit to fly for the 2017 display season.
